Pokemon Sapphire

Pokemon Sapphire

The Quest to Become a Master Trainer Continues on Game Boy Advance! The next generation of Pokémon games are bigger, better, and more addictive than ever before! Pokémon Sapphire feature an all-new storyline, awesome new Pokémon and the same great RPG gameplay that has made the series so successful. The race to Catch 'Em All is on again!

You can play as either a boy or a girl Pokémon Trainer as you explore the all-new region of Hoenn. Your mission? To become the world's greatest Pokémon Trainer by defeating the region's top Pokémon Masters and Gym Leaders. Thanks to the power of Game Boy Advance, graphics and battle animations look better than ever.

Two-on-Two Battles! - One of the coolest new additions to Pokémon Sapphire is the two-on-two battle system. Link up with three friends to battle in teams, or battle two Trainers at once as you travel through Hoenn. Since each Pokémon offers a unique combination of strengths and weaknesses, doubling the number that can battle at once adds immeasurably to the games' richness and depth.

Pokémon Contests - This time around, training Pokémon isn't all about being the strongest in battle. In Pokémon Contests, an expert panel of judges rate your Pokémon based on a number of attributes such as Cuteness, Beauty and more. It's like a pure-bred dog show for Pokémon! You can increase your Pokémon's performance by feeding them special Pokéblocks, created from Berries found throughout Hoenn.

New Pokémon - The region of Hoenn is home to dozens of Pokémon you've never seen before, along with some returning favourites as well. To collect them all, you'll need to explore every last nook and cranny of the region and trade with your friends! At the beginning of the game, you'll get to choose one of three new Pokémon to start your collection: Treecko, a Grass-Type Pokémon; Torchic, a Fire-Type Pokémon; and Mudkip, a Water-Type Pokémon.

Pokémon 101 - What are Pokémon? Pokémon are unique creatures that come in all shapes and sizes. Each Pokémon specializes in one or two types of elemental abilities (such as Grass, Fire or Water) which it uses in battle. Pokémon also develop their own personalities, likes and dislikes -- just like humans do.

They even have a favourite flavour of Pokéblock, depending on their personality. Pokémon and humans have learned to live and work together in harmony to create a better life for all. Pokémon Trainers gather Pokémon from the wild and train them to battle each other and perform other tasks.

By battling Pokémon, Pokémon and their Trainers can show off their skills and compete for various badges and titles. Trainers become close friends with their Pokémon, nurturing them and helping them evolve into stronger creatures.
